Apparently, Pig’s been trying to improve himself by hanging out at the Creation “Museum.”

Where do we find the part about B.C. (the comic made by the same guy as “The Wizard of Id”) in Goat’s book?

Hmm. I’ll cautiously grant that Pig is more intellectual than he looks. But no more than that. Would you trust Cartoon-Boy to be your instructor in Ancient Civilizations?!

To believe in “Creationism” you have to be stupid enough to beilieve that a god would create someone stupid enough to believe in “Creationism”. Q.E.D.

Neolithic man settled down into farming communities to ensure a supply of grain, and to have a place to turn it into beer. Primitive brewing is not practical for nomads. From those villages, civilizations grew.http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/17/opinion/sunday/how-beer-gave-us-civilization.html

Pig sets a low bar, then proceeds to jump over it. But he is right.

Just to get this clear in my mind…..People who believe in creation view Adam and Eve as their ancestors. People who believe in evolution see Fred and Wilma as theirs. Interesting…………

I do love redheads but in this case I’d have to go with Betty. Now back to debating the origin of life on this wonderful planet…or not.

My father is a scientist, and I’ve known tons of them over the years—played softball (fast-pitch, natch) and basketball with some. Very few were atheists (at least not loud ones…..), and the religious types out-numbered the agnostics considerably. (My father is a Catholic scientist—his PhD is inorganic chemistry.) If I thought hard I could probably remember at least a couple of scientists I’ve known from each of the major world religions.

@krcaddisMy point is that scientists can also be believers (you would know that, would you have the intelligence that God gave a radish, and were thereby able to read my post.) The point always was that fundamentalists are one thing, and intelligent people, always questing for truth, always baffled in their search, are another breed entirely.

That was also a lazy missed space type (you know the breed…….) His PhD was in organic chemistry!

While we are on the topic of punctuation . . .

See “Eats, Shoots & Leaves” by Lynne Truss, an easy little book on the disappearing relevance of punctuation. Not a big deal, you say? Imagine if you’re the unfortunate panda being thusly characterized.

@hariseldon59 and @kea, it’s a classic. supporters of ‘Intelligent Design’ often tell on internet they’ve taken too many courses in natural sciences just to make themselves sound credible ie, more believable to uninformed people.
