Is this the start of an arc where the Pointy-Nosed One claims to be an ambassador from Ratatonia?

Should be a 3 strike rule for diplomats as minimum. If their home country did nothing third time you could do as you pleased with them.

Well, he cannot be jailed, but he can be deported and then be subject to a drone attack…

Inspired by Goat, Rat plainly will become the self-proclaimed ambassador of some invented pipsqueak country and set out to ignore any and all laws that inconvenience his wanton desires. That’s pretty much any and all laws, period.

Just moved to Nevada and doing a little research on the area I found a micronation just a few miles away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_MolossiaI wonder if they have any sort of immunity, or diplomatic relations of any kind, with the US. It’s not much larger than my living room.

I always hated diplomatic immunity. A man could kill 5 people in public whip molesting 3 kids then rob everyone there…and cannot be arrested

Diplomat or not, one know when one has wronged. Hope he can sleep at night and look in the mirror in the morning. Karma be a’comin’….. Probably drives 73 in a 70 MPH zone. Claims deductions on his taxes that he’s not entitled to. I wouldn’t doubt that he misrepresents himself in a chat room. Say, how can one obtain this here “diplomat” stuff, anyway?

Growing up in DC, there was a diplomat’s son in the ’70’s who called his dad from the high school and asked permission to have an…“incident.” Dad’s country was mad at the US so he told him sure, go ahead. Kid joined the streaking craze, running through the school at top speed, school security cop in pursuit, and then jumped into a car with diplomatic plates—as the cop went oh well on the ticket he was about to write up and tossed it.

Diplomatic immunity only applies to the nation’s court system. If the diplomat gets really stupid, there’s no immunity from an outraged citizen.

The home country can revoke their credentials to save face, then prosecute at home….

there is always someone (rat) who should not be told certain things because of the way they process information leads to greater problems for all. pig is so right on in this and i know it is for a ‘punchline/storyline’ but goat you should know this already!!!

Diplomatic Immunity only applies as long the person claiming Immunity is able to keep it. If the person with DI were to commit a crime such as premeditated murder, the person’s Government can revoke DI and hand him over to the local authorities. More often than not, the host country, lodges a complaint and the person is sent back home and tried for the crime they committed in their home country under their home country’s laws.

Wait, normally Rat would tell Pig something related to what Pig says in the last panel, not vice versa.
