This is not climate change. It was caused by Danae’s earth-shattering scream

The polar bear is looking at what looks like a “cool”, striped, peppermint candy on the beach !

The bad news is that we aren’t causing it and cannot effect change in regard to it and must now move past the bargaining stage and work toward acceptance and adaptation.

I live in the Northeast portion of Kansa in an area called “The Glacial Hills”. Hills deposited by the glacier that dug the Missori River Valley. Where is my glacier? Climates change…..

I wonder if Wiley was chased by a bear as a kid. He really likes these bears about to eat people cartoons.

The great news is I can climb a tree faster than YOU.

I don’t have to outrun the bear, just you.

Warning: In the event of zombie apocalypse I will trip you.

Gaijinrabbit quoted Neil De Grasse Tyson,

“The good thing about science is that it’s true, whether you believe it or not.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Finally! A little sanity. Believe me, our descendants are going to really hate us.Too bad our current generation is so totally clueless. The ostrich doesn’t believe in Global change — ‘if I can’t see it, it doesn’t exist.’

And we all know the ostrich is the smartest dinosaur alive……

If 9-10ths of that iceberg are below the surface, there must be one incredible drop off on that side of the island!

Someone should remind the bear we’re at the top of the food chain. Perhaps by stealing his ice flo to provide relief from the heat and a source of fresh water, while it lasts . . . and all that nice fresh bear meat as well. No, while it might look like the bears going to get you, sometimes you get the bear.

But, of course… I just make this stuff up.You don’t have to believe it.It will be factual, regardless.

It’s an amusing sign of the times we live in to see a scientific debate breaking out in the comments section for a comic strip. There’s a comics convention here that I’ve always found equally amusing, the castaways on the tiny island that couldn’t possibly support them. If the entire island weren’t underwater some of the time, there’s no way it could provide enough food for even one person(you can assume it rains enough to provide drinking water). Although come to think of it, maybe there used to be four people on this island, and now there are only two left. The bear is just late to the party.

The concern is over the deep water conveyor stopping. But the observed warming is superficial, and is caused more by aridity than by greenhouse effect. One might note that if there were sufficient water vapor to maintain the glaciers and arable lands, that the greenhouse effect of that vapor would be much greater than that of the miniscule amounts of CO2 we have added through agriculture and industry over the past 200 years.

And yet, oddly enough, there was no ozone hole before we invented the satellite, so you might easily draw a statistical link between satellites and the ozone hole.
