   Plus a fellow tech, told me he brought a HD back to life by, wrapping it in saran wrap or whatever to keep moisture out and then put it in a freezer for a day and when he reinstalled it, it worked, i don’t know why, or how but i thought i would mention that. you never know, just dont let moisture get in. Then if it works, just copy and throw the drive away… No point in saying >>> BACKUP ….

   I was an Electronic Biomed technician for years. I had several drives lying around from desltops, not laptops. I bought an item called A“All in One HDD Docking” for sata and IDE drives. You plug in a drive, into this system, and it plugs into a laptop etc and uses it to read the drive. works great and helps eliminate problems other than the drive. ( thanks for your support )
