So what exactly does “a pint of the best” mean? Best in whose opinion?

“I wish I was crossed eyed, so I can see you twice” springs to mind.

Andy’s a real sweetheart isn’t he though? NOT!

Good morning Cappers! May you all have a nice day! Or evening, as case may be.

bev re your comment last night. Think of us as getting better! Ah yes, LIKE A FINE WINE, we get better with age, right?

And one that I always loved, from Pope John XXIII, for the men here:

Men are like wine – some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age.

Today’s was actually funny although of course the classics were better! The cross-over with Andy and “Family Guy” makes me wish Rumpole would walk into Andy’s pub! (Neither Rumpole nor Andy typically have “the best”!)

I think most Americans would consider Michael Caine as having the typical “English” accent, and Billy Connolly the typical Scottish.

I don’t know why but I always find the exclamation marks or question marks above the character’s head to be a great feature. Examples are in the 2nd and 4th panels in today’s strip. It reminds me of Mr. Smythe who was probably the most talented cartoonist in the world. His Andy Capp strips had me stitches for hours.xxx

You’re welcome !-Nooo, guess it doesn’t . I would be using something other than my nose. -If he’s a friend of yours, that says it all. -I’m sure a company wants a good fit with their social structure as well as an applicant being capable. Ed had his share of guys who would be hard pressed to get on in “normal” places.-Me too !Their bedroom no longer has the leaky windows as they had been replaced about 3 weeks ago. She is happy about it. She is very sensitive to cold.-If you are happy as you are and content with the state of your life, no need to get loaded to make it more ‘fun’. -And with that, may your Sunday be Funday !__________________________________________________

You don’t say?-Shep has puppies of his own. I would love to see them, I always go soft whenever I see puppies on the TV which have just been born. -I agree. I don’t mind interviews, I always wear my hair in a plait when I attend them. It doesn’t matter if the interview is formal or informal… I have to wear a plait. -Are the windows double glazed? Glad Eileen is more comfortable.-That’s the wisest thing I’ve heard you say in a loooooong time! Haha. Just kidding.-You don’t like alcohol either do you? I can’t really see what’s special about it. That and smoking.-I have just watched the pilot episode of Only Fools & Horses again. I’d almost forgotton how hilarious it was! My favourite bit was at 25:54 of the video when Del Boy said to Grandad “It has GOT an electronic brain! But it didn’t know it was going to have the misfortune to fall in the hands of a soppy old duffer who wanted to play draughts on it, did it?” Bloody hilarious! I also loved the argument between Grandad and Rodney at the beginning on how to pronounce the actor’s name on the TV. -I’m so excited to catch up on all the episodes from the very beginning. Here is the link to the episode I’ve just watched: Link-Sorry, I could talk about Only Fools & Horses all day. Same with Blackadder.-May your Sunday be a Funday as well!
