    I’ve known people like that:

“Can you drop me off at the airport on Wednesday?”

“What?! Children are starving in the Third World and all you can think about is a ride to the airport?!”

A guy at work, studying to go to law school no less, asked to borrow a quarter for the vending machine. I gave him the quarter. 2 days later, he asked for 50 cents. 3 days later, 75 cents. The next day he wanted a dollar, at which point I asked when am I going to see this money again. Then he explained this is just a game he likes to play to see how much he can get away with before people call him on it; he had no intentions of paying it back unless I sued. He claimed he was once able to bid a “friend” up to $100. It’s jerks like him that give people a bad name.

Finally did the research to figure out the characters better Sylvia is married to “Dan” Why don’t we ever see him? Nelson is Sylvia’s from a previous marriage? I just wonder why the background isn’t ever mentioned. http://syndication.washingtonpost.com/pickles

“Just use the one you borrowed last time.”.A neighbor borrowed my father’s garden plow. Some years later he complained that the handle had rotted out. “Oscar, it was new when you borrowed it and I haven’t seen it since and I don’t care if you left it outside in the weather to rot.”(Daddy was hardhearted that way.)

i got “bit” when i got my little portable table saw in a bind. yeah i was in too big a hurry, and didn’t realise the blade would rise up in that situation. that mistake almost cost me two of my favorite fingers. when i got home i set it in the yard and haven’t used it since.

The only people who can borrow stuff from me is family because they always return what they borrowed.

They aren’t neighbours are they? Everybody knows you never get things back when you lend them to your neighbours!

My dad had a sign over the entrance door to his tool barn. It read “Like hell its yours. Put it back”.

Gee, I had to read this in a newspaper because the daily email collection I got today had the Pickles Sunday strip not today’s.
