I still have the family rocking chair. It’s a bentwood and its circular piece between the back rest and sitting area are gone. I stuck head through that space as a wee lad and Mum phoned someone with a circular saw to liberate me. There’s even a photograph in my photo album showing the event.

I will never understand why anybody would want to put together their own furniture. Haven’t we evolved beyond that?

This old joke might just have a different flavor these days: Mom: “Make your bed!” Child: “The factory made it FOR me!”

Somehow rocking in a rocking chair seems too “active” for Andy (and he might even spill some of his drink!) Speaking of drinks, things were wild and crazy here in Kansas City last night. And probably half the city called in sick for today……….

So when Flo sits for awhile, then gets up, she’d be off her rocker?

I had an old rocking chair in my bedroom but one of the stands had come out of it’s socket thingy and I was always frightened to sit on it in case the chair crashed to the floor.

Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray said, about 13 hours ago

I Luuuuv rosy cheeks, Three ….. umm which ones ?-I feel not so powerful about the era, though some good things did happen.-Mom had hair down to her butt all the time I was growing up. One guy who had come by the house to see if he could have the cut logs of a cottonwood tree we took down had talked to her first and was referred to me. He said something about “your wife said to talk to you”. It was mildly amusing and I set him straight. Mom always looked less then her years and did not dye her hair that I could tell. Her Sicilian roots stayed that dark brown. I find long hair a major turn on. Butch cuts make you guys look like a boy. In her thirties, she would sometimes get carded for drinks when her and Dad had that Saturday ‘dress up’ meal out together. -If I don’t see so much as a micro hairline crack when the next you de-butts, then it will have been verrry worth it !-I like the one I played better than the original but have to confess that it is not one of my faves, no matter whodunnit !I have the CD it is on.-Aaah ! The quintessential cop (or any) show where the head cop, husband, teacher, et al. is at constant loggerheads with the boss. With the right scripts and actors, stuff like that will always be funny.-Warm and pleasant with some bouts of wind which slowed down for us to hoist up the roof panels. They are screwed and nailed in place now. -Happy Muggy Monday !_____________________________________________________

I was thinking more of face cheeks but if butt cheeks work for you then…- I love the 80’s. The music and hairstyles. I had an 80’s hairstyle when I was about 14. I got a lot of compliments on it! But now I’m back to straight, long hair with a full fringe.- So he thought your mum was your wife? That’s embarrassing but pretty sweet at the same time. Your Mum was a beautiful lady. You have that photo of her as a teenager on Flickr. It’s very nice.- I get people saying I look both younger and older than my age. I was once mistaked for a 21 year old!- My hair has never been fully dyed. It had blonde highlights in which stayed there for a very long time. But I love being brunette and I’m not intending to dye my hair red, black, green, purple…You get the idea.- Well, to each their own. Yeah, I find the version by “The Righteous Brothers” to be better even if it’s a cover which I don’t know.-I have only seen parts of “A Touch of Frost” It’s my Dad who watches it. My Mum is more into sitcoms like “Mrs. Brown’s Boys” and “Only Fools & Horses” I love Only Fools & Horses, Blackadder and Mr. Bean – A childhood favourite!-Today it has been raining. Perfect.-I hope your Monday is far from muggy!
