A scene that actually happens all too often on the Columbia River.

I understand why they didn’t see the ship- but how did WE not see it in the first two panels?

S O S Tried doing it in morse code but can’t get the 3 dashes to show right. They key in but only show as 1 & if you put a space between it comes out – - -

Even though these strips are hardly funny anymore, I never criticise the artwork because I know I couldn’t do better myself.

But the 3rd panel looks amazing. A beautiful drawing of a cruise ship.

Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray said, about 13 hours ago

No. I have some of those moist wipes I keep in the car. -Actually….-My hair gets a little ‘hairy’ overnight and so needs brushing in the ay-em. It helps if I remember to brush before going to bed too. -I have only started doing that work ! It will be a project much like restoring the Statue of Liberty was back in the ‘80s. I will be consulting tech manuals as I go so that I get it just right !I’m even thinking of renting a jackhammer. Not sure what for yet, but it might come in handy. Ya just never know.I am glad my suffering pleases you so. -Enough of the pop singers got the “slut” market glutted up anyway.-As my “fame” goes, I’m sure no one cares Outside Of A Small Circle Of Friends"*. No, and I doubt my name would fetch much on E-bay anyway. I dropped off some with our horsesh@t guy. Thought no one was home so started to leave it on the walk and he came out. Had a nice little talk we did !-Got plenty done today.May yer Sattaday Be Soopa !_____________________________________________________

I used to carry hand cream in my bag because I would get dry skin. The dry skin got worse every time I came out of the bath. -Oh! Well that was embarrassing. But obviously I was not born when that album came out.-I hate brushing my hair but I suppose I have to suffer to look gorgeous. Care to make a comment about that? LOL.-Well you have 2 weeks to finish it because I ain’t waiting! Yes, your suffering pleases me very much! Haha. However, I’m not that cruel because I don’t have avatars of me on all the time. That has to count for something. At least give me a little credit.-Wow. Fantastic song! Never heard a voice like his before. He sounds like a Country & Western singer but I could be wrong. Here is a song for you: Link-Today I woke up to hear the sound of rain on the windows. I think it was about 8:37am to be exact but I went back to sleep shortly after because I never get up early on weekends. Or weekdays if I can help it. However I don’t really mind getting up early when I have to. The rain was good while it lasted. It was still wet and grey when I woke up a second time.-May your Saturday be Somewhat Sizzling!

I don’t know if this will interest anyone but this is a foreword by Reg Smythe in one of my Andy Capp paperbacks. I found it to be quite amusing and somewhat warm:-“Although Andy was the best man at the wedding on the front cover, he thinks it’s sheer madness to get married in the spring. A bloke should at least insist on waiting until the end of the football season. He did.-Andy gave Flo a wonderful surprise for her wedding present. Two cup final tickets. He had mentioned they would have a week-end honeymoon in London, but she hadn’t expected a mug of tea and a wad for her wedding breakfast, nor, for that matter, that their first night together would be spent sitting on a bench at King’s Cross Station waiting for the tube to open.-When they first arrived at Wembley it was pouring with rain and there was poor Flo, standing on the terraces in her powder blue going-away outfit. She felt a proper Charlie, I can tell you. But when Andy stuck a blooming great rosette in the front of her dusky pink pill box hat (with veil), it really was the last straw.-Mind you, Andy was a great comfort when he saw she was upset. “I know, Pet,” he said, “I know it’s all been so wonderful you just- FOUL, REF! IT STUCK OUT A MILE- can’t believe it’s ’appening to yer, can yer?”-Isn’t he awful."

An old Mad Magazine article about sailboats: “The law of the sea is that, because sailboats are much harder to control than powered ships, they always have the right of way. Notice how in panel one the sailboat is signalling the Queen Mary to stop? And notice in panel two that the Queen Mary actually DID stop? This is for two reasons. First, because sailboats are hard to control, they have the right of way. And second, because it is difficult for a powered ship to move when debris (like that from a crushed sailboat) is in its propellors!”

I seem to be the only one who liked at least a few of this arcs episodes! I’m hoping we get more arcs in the future. (Speaking of arcs, the “Pogo” today kicks off one of the all-time great “Pogo” arcs, which was hilarious. Thanks once more for posting once more, Buggerlugs!)
