For some reason, I hear “Flight Of The Bumblebee” playing in my head as I look at today’s strip. :)

Jim certainly didn’t stay behind because after helping Holly escape, he’d be in serious danger.

If the latest auction items are any indication, it looks like Jim will be staying behind with Sarah, while Chic and Bug hit the road with Wally and Holly.

@CoytyYeah, I noticed that too. My best guess is that Jim also ran out and went in another direction, possibly remembering how to get back to the kitchen area. He struck me as being in an uncooperative mood, and I’m thinking he’s probably going to get himself killed.

A medieval society of lizards with a fort full of hidden passages. The Endtown version of Game of Thrones. And TSOJ as far as Sarah goes…..it may be better to eat than in Jim’s case be eaten.

I’m guessing that Jim will find Sarah and Piotr and have it out with her. If there is any decency left in Sarah, she will explain to Jim that they have mutated apart, and will apologize for doing what she needs to do. Honestly, I’m expecting her to treat him like a pest. In the end he’ll either be dead or possibly Sarah’s answer to Chic — an embarrassment who she can’t kill and who won’t leave.

Ya know … it’s been awhile since I’ve thrown due praises upon this strip, but I really need to state my admiration for Aaron with today’s offering. Seriously, no dialog, bringing us four simple yet beautifully rendered panels showing a different level of perspective in each. Take a moment to just absorb each one on its own. And then allow them to flow together. How this strip isn’t winning awards is completely beyond my scope of comprehension.

And a quick aside to Jenner – thank you for today.

Judging by the size of the blocks in panel 4, the door seems to go somewhere outside the regular living area.

I do wonder about animals and what became of them…did any of them mutate or did they just die off? Maybe this bug was a bug to begin with, then mutated to intelligence…

I’m wondering if the history of this reality includes a long period of underground shelters/sanctuaries going on to substantial civil defense structures well before the War? Post war, Amesworth projectors could make new excavations easily enough, but infrastructure takes time.

that would be nice. If humans came thru mutation, then plant life should manage to do like wise.
