    The funniest thing today was the expression on the jockey’s face! I’ve just finished reading a biography of Al “Li’l Abner” Capp. (He seems to have been a nasty piece of work!) Is there a good bio of Reg Smythe out there, anywhere, or did he write his autobiography? I’d like to read that, if there was one.

    Seems like a good way to make money at the track would be to follow Andy around and bet on any horse that he doesn’t.

    @Gweedo Murray

    Gweedo – It’s not like the way it looked ! – Murray said, about 23 hours agoSome stuff never gets old.-I remember getting body ‘ticks’, such as feelings in the chest that would cause me concern. I am convinced that going vegan, and quitting smoking helped a lot to have a more comfortable solid standing, as health goes. I feel more “safe” at my current age than I did in my twenties and thirties when I was still finding my way. The truck has 243,000 (U.S.) miles and is running quite nice these days. -The show was real good. Guests Nancy and Larry were an asset and I believe their presence gave the regular guys a jolt of goodness, which I relayed to the regular members between sets. Nancy sang some tunes she wrote while Larry played on acoustic guitar. The rest of the time he played with the other guys. Everyone shined and Barb sat by us a bit and talked to Joe and me, and we got hugs !-Getting ready to do some outdoor as Sunday is doing well. Morly for Monday.Yee-Haw !!! Ride’m cowgirl !_________________________________________________I had a feeling that the show would turn out to be great. Were Nancy & Larry dressed up for their performance?-I don’t know anyone in my family who is vegan, I’m not. Glad your lifestyle changed for the better. You made the right choices.-I went to the stables again today. Only Merlin & Sebastian were there as the owners were out with the girl horse but came back a few minutes later while I was there. I fed Merlin & Sebastian some polo mints which they LOVED! Merlin shoved poor Sebastian out of the way. He’s obviously the boss. -A mum and her little boy were watching me feeding them.-I fell off Trigger yesterday when I was on my way to start my toon tour. He got excited because he spotted a great big pile of golden hay. LOL.-Happy un-miserable Monday to you!

    Number Six said, 2 days ago (On Citizen Dog):“Like Pooch Cafe and Dilbert, dog strips seem funnier when dogs can talk to their masters/mistresses…”-——————I agree. My favorite talking dog strip is Buckles by David Gilbert. Unfortunately it is not a GC comic. It is in the Comics Kingdom lineup. For those unfamiliar with Buckles, here is a sample strip:You can find Buckles at:http://comicskingdom.com/buckles

    @Gweedo@Beviek@Six@Afficionado@Three@anyone else I forgot to mentionI’ve been missing you guys. I’ve been very busy with my mother-in-law and her cancer treatment. After she recovered enough from the surgery she had to endure 30 radiation treatments. I can drive the 85 miles to the cancer center with my eyes closed. I’m officially retired now. If I had known I would live this long I would have taken better care of myself. Ah,who the hell am I kidding, I had a lot of fun getting here.

    Any horse that would get distracted so easily never had a chance.

    Has Linguist gotten his ducks in a row? And did Susan Newman ever make an appearance?
