Had a situation like that with a game of “Stratego” against a friend’s younger brother. Did not take losing very well, as I found out and was not warned (I was in 5th grade, he [my opponent] was in third). Collateral damage: three holes punched in sheetrock walls, bathroom door pulled off hinges, four hand-carved staircase vertical support pieces kicked out, and an hour of crying and screaming in the basement over a board game. Thank goodness there are meds and doctors for that, even back in the ’70s. He apologized to me a few weeks later.

OK, that was a childish stunt you’ve just pulled and you (sometimes) ridicule Dean for being Immature…??

I dislike Monopoly, but I bought my husband a “World of Warcraft” version for Christmas and we just had to play. I beat him soundly.

Played correctly, a Monopoly game is essentially over once a player gets all of one color.

Kip W: Ah yes, it was a Bay Area, California, World Series, as I recall..catzilla23: Totally agree. For a supposedly topical cartoon, its philosophical insights have held up quite well. Aided, of course by a certain plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
