This is why you should be told of these things ahead of time. (How long’s this “little while”, Opal?)

When I was a kid, my mother would rearrange the furniture about every 6 months.

For my elderly mom, “soon” is 10 minutes when “I want you to bring the dogs in soon.” But when she’ll be out of the bathroom “soon,” it’s .. ummm… well, longer.

To truly clean a house most of the furniture has to be moved every so often. Keeps carpet wear even also.

There is only one perfect place for each piece of furniture. Moving it after finding the perfect place is simply obsessive, compulsive disorder IMHO.

On a recent trip to Sam’s Club, my wife was griping about their moving the products to different areas of the store, and I said, “Yep. Some woman’s in charge of that.”I got blissful silence along with the “Whatever!” stare.

My furniture is in exactly the same place it was the day we moved in 16 years ago. Why on earth would you move something?

Opal says “you should look before you sit” —but Earl said the same thing to her when she complained about his leaving the toilet seat up.

Whether at home or in a store, I like things to be where I expect them to be.

We’ve rearranged the living room several times, but the bedroom furniture only fits where it is, and I STILL walk into it in the dark. Maybe in another 40 years I’ll be able to walk around it properly.

I’ve lived in places where there is only 1 way to arrange it based on where the doors, windows, & cable hook-ups are.

Women are the ones who don’t look before they sit, why else would they complain about the position of the toilet seat.

Earl should count his blessings. Re-arranging the environment could have included new furniture!

I was on the night shift a few years ago, my wife decided to rearrange the furniture that evening. I discovered this fact at about 1 AM. The rest I leave to your imagination.

Reminds me of the day back in the ’70s when I came home from work, opened the door and found all the furniture in the living room had changed places since the morning. I stopped and briefly felt one of those Twilight Zone moments.
