How about three weeks max campaigning, AND NO television. Inexpensive, quick, points need made clearly, no time or room for the usual BS slime. (Discussions elsewhere, not my idea originally.)

A rational consensus, when viewed from a historical perspective, appears suspiciously like mass hysteria based on ignorance and a commonly held belief system. Now may be a good time for heretics and other non-believers to bone up on their sectarian buzz-words and bow to the popular media’s golden child of the moment. It is fairly simple for the sane to appear normal simply by being highly sarcastic, but speaking with a great depth of feigned sincerity. Never let them know what you really think, only what you know they expect you to feel. Surf the wave.

Time to hit the reset button and do-over. Until every incumbant is dismissed, and true patriots are installed in their places — people that live up to their oath of office — nothing’s gonna’ change. I’d gladly trade inexperienced citizens for the entrenched “ruling class” whose loyalties are only to themselves and their corporate sponsors.

When was the last Doomsayer that held a sign that actually came true? How is this any different? Stating it’s not gonna happen is obvious, because doomsayers are never right!

Define reasonable. The problem is that all these people think they’re being “reasonable”. I’d prefer something like, willing to compromise.

Yes, but think about it – sometimes, it is GOOD when congress does nothing to us. In fact, many times, nothing is what needs to be done. Just sayin’.

I always considered it funny that most text on political economy describe participants in a market as “rational actors”. Economists should really meet people like a Nascar fan, a socialite mom, a fishing boat captain, and a trucker.

Sure…..but still they don’t tell us “WHEN” which leaves them an open door to choosing a date between now and doomsday!

Reasonable minds? Rationality? When key parts of the government are elected by sheeple? I care for my ailing grandmother who watches nothing but FOX News Channel. Seniors are the biggest voting bloc! This guy’s as much a crackpot as any other doomsayer.
