    Dr. Mel deToqueville?

Yes, for those of you following at home, this is two days in a row I’ve used “toque” in a comment. (I just couldn’t keep that under my … hat.)

So, are we just leaving Brewster and Pam out in space? I mean, a recipe for life is cool and all, but I kinda wonder if & how they got back.

They must be getting close to creating life. The bit on Winky’s finger is already flesh colored.

Careful there. Too much nitrogen is bad for the spleen.

I understand that the thermal vent theory of the origin of life is overtaking the meteor theory (which doesn’t explain anything since it just pushes the question off earth into space), but the old “primordial soup” theory is now pretty much abandoned since amino acids just don’t do anything on their own.

As to cubefarmer’s comment about the Cambrian atmosphere, since anti-evolutionists reject science, they can’t use science to disprove science.

“Funny how the geological record of the Cambrian Explosion period shows the atmosphere of the time was nothing like what the Darwinists insist it had to have been, attacking observed facts that don’t fit their pet theory.”Yeah … you saw that in Leviticus, I think it was, right?

Do you have a source for this “fact”? Or just making stuff up to fit your pet theory?

Funny how cubefarmer (is that the Time Cube?) doesn’t know that the Cambrian is about 530 to 550 million years ago, whereas the origination of life is about 3.8 billion years ago. Which means that your math is off by a factor of 7, and your comment does not make any sense.Check out Addy Pross’ book “How Chemistry Becomes Biology” for current status in abiogenesis.
