I may not use music at work in the real world, but I am glad that I did band at school. Music is all around you, in life, in how you live, music is there. I think without music the world would be a very drab place.

Ever notice how the HS school band competitions are buried on the last page of the local news or sports section (if then) 4-5 days post competition, usually a sentence or two, while the football/basketball/whatever sports get full front page sports section coverage and a score summary on the front page header?

Excuse me, but school sports don’t transfer well to multiple choice tests, either

According to my 3rd grade teacher SIL, this is all too accurate. Exaggerated a bit for humor’s sake, but not much.

True, but the money made from them tends to transfer well into the bank accounts of the coaches and administrators of those self-same school sports programs.
