He’s got his own key to the lock up – sort of like Otis in Mayberry.

You’d better hope the RCMP never finds your true identity.^^That isn’t the RCMP, it’s Andy, if he were a cop … ps, the RCMP doesn’t have jurisdiction in my town.

I wonder where Florrie picked-up that ‘casual, timely insult in-passing’ bit?

“Comany of the Police” is kinda laughable; Andy’s not keen on Company

Naturally Flo has a different viewpoint

Andy spends a lot of time in canals, too, but that doesn’t make him a fish! (Pond scum, maybe………..)

Andy couldn’t sit around drinking beer being a copper; he’d have to sit and choke down donuts and coffee all day

I was reading some of the above comments. I think police officers are a completely different breed today. I can’t speak for the large cities but I have come to know a good deal about small town cops in America. They get about as much training as a military boot. Not Marine and probably not as much as Army. Many, if not most, were the put upon and bullied kids. They carry a heavy burden of resentment and sometimes outright hatred. They seem to be paranoid and scared that everyone is lying to them. And, many have you convicted before they see you. There just don’t seem to be the common sense cops of yesterday anymore. And this behavior seems to be encouraged. Sad, isn’t it?

There is, or was last I heard, a pub inside the Police Station in Lincolnshire. Made finding off-duty Officers easier anyway….
