    He’s got his own key to the lock up – sort of like Otis in Mayberry.

    Andy’s too corrupt, rude and arrogant.

    He’s over qualified!

    I have found that British police are more helpful than our surly lot

    @afficionado U L M,

    If the Malta police are worse than those in Britain, you sincerely have my deepest sympathy!

    This is universal. There was a time ( way back when ) that the average copper on the beat was friendly , polite, and helpful in the UK and in the US. Times have changed . When I ( in a portion of my misspent youth ) worked in narcotics investigations, there was still never a ‘them against us’ attitude that the kids today on the force exhibit towards the civilian population.
    I’ve asked guys my age who’ve retired from police forces if it’s me or are all these clowns running around with a Wyatt Earp complex. Everyone of them said they couldn’t stand today’s cops because of their attitudes.

    My eldest son joined the police force when he turned 18 but eventually he joined the fire and rescue unit
    Our police were so corupt that 2 police commisioners and some higher ranks ended up in jail

    Reminds me of Clockwork Orange, where two of Alex’s Droogs(gang) become police officers.
