It’s not a spam posting. It’s a crossover, as Sherlock could have told us. Pastis and a couple Pearls characters appear there today.

Agreed. My fiancee’s family is all against nuclear (they are German where the Green party is in power) but I think it’s a good thing. I’m just reading an ebook at the moment called “Nuclear 2.0: Why A Green Future Needs Nuclear Power” which says amongst other things that most of the nuclear power plants that have either been shutdown or cancelled in Africa have been replaced with coal burning plants.

I’m all for clean eco power but the only solution for carbon-neutral power has nuclear as part of it.

Why “enormous investments”? Because you require to live a life of ease? Go to kiva.com and help somebody else who doesn’t have your mental problems. Sorry, but this is just stupid. Too many other options, and what do you do with a “dead” nuclear reactor? We’ve got a couple in WA, wanna buy them?

Should I stand and salute for “I’d like to teach the world to sing”? Our King Barack I wants to make that the national anthem.

These animals go around completely naked all the time anyway, so why would they want to wear underwear?

Without electricity most of the farm land would be semi-arid brush; except in the rare year when it would be flooded.

lol. Nope.1. California leading agricultural state, both in quantity and diversity of crops. Iowa grows a lot, but it’s mostly corn, and in overall volume still less than CA.2. California is not broke. Budget is near balanced – for now. Of course, in CA, as in all states, increasing number of retiree pensions will grow over time, challenging every state’s budget.Re ‘socialism’ . . . you realize of course, that all of these are ‘socialism’: Social Security, Medicare, VA and military pensions, air travel safety, highway and road repair, disaster relief, courts & judges, disease-free drinking water, disease-free food, police and fire protection, etc etc. ‘Socialism’.

It’s so nice to be a mom to adult sons. They achieve Danny’s goal nearly every day. The only realist at the table.

lol . . . oh, and by-the-way, all those states in the Midwest, growing all the corn and soybeans . . . enjoy massive agricultural subsidies from both state and federal taxpayers. Socialism.
