GT is a master. Look at Mike. He has the expression of a proud father who is realizing his little girl is all grown up. Amazing work. 5 Stars.

JJ and her consort will probably show up, late, at the reception, zonked and inappropriately dressed.

Hooray for Alex! Remember what month it is, folks! ( ;-) )I remember when my son got his law degree, I was practically his cheerleader — I couldn’t help myself; I stood back a little to embarrass him less and yelled “Yay!” as loud as I could … I think I even jumped up and down. Not exactly dignified behavior … sorry, dear.

My son starts work on his phD in September. He didn’t walk for either his BA or his MA. I told him he’d better do it when he gets his doctorate, or I’d come up ther, slap a gown and hoos on him and drag him bodily to commencement.

Found this too late to post yesterday—relating to comments made about MIT’s academic regalia. Here’s regalia from several dozen U S academic institutions. I especially like Carnegie Mellon’s, with ther subtle braid of (I suppose) the Carnegie tartan. MIT’s is unexpectedly gaudy. https://oakhalli.com/Special-Regalia-Find-Your-School/

Obama is now in his 2nd term. Welcome to it. No prez is allowed to go unscathed into a 2nd term, especially one who had an opposition rooting for his failure before he even started. Just like the trolls around here will always run down Obama, no matter what the subject of the strip is for any given day.

Be niceeven though not political in nature today, it is a highly political strip in nature and it’s easy to skip Guard’s musings if you really don’t like them.or you can enjoy yourself being mean to him.

Convince President Obama to change his agenda by showing him a better way. Then we all win.(Note: It might help to actually KNOW his agenda rather than imagine it.)

You conservatives have “Prickly City,” “Mallard Fillmore,” and online, “Day by Day,” but you’re all here beating up on GT as if he owes you something.I do have to say this, CF53, you do have a sense of humor. That is something some of the conservative commentators are sorely lacking.

Actually, from time to time, I do watch Fox News, and it’s not that I find the truth boring, it’s just that there is so little truth on Fox News. You believe their hokum, so to you it is truth. But it isn’t truth just because you believe it.However, there is no point in telling you that; like most conservatives you KNOW that you are right and anyone who disagrees is wrong.Liberals are different; we open our minds to information. Sometimes the things we believe are challenged, and we have to admit that updated information may change what we believe. But conservatives rarely absorb new information; they’ve made up their mind, and they cherry-pick the factoids that support their pre-conceived notions. It’s a callow and arrogant point of view, but it is yours, and hence the reason I find you and your ilk a bore. And again I say, yawn…

The “domestic spying scandal” as you call it, isn’t a scandal at all. Its completely legal, thanks to the Patriot Act, that was signed into law during the Bush administration by BOTH parties. So the only lies (or complete ignorance) here is coming from your keyboard.
