The truth shall follow us through life. If we were a PIA as a kid, we will turn into a bigger PIA as a supposed grown-up ! Andy is like Peter Pan, he never grew up.

Florrie wouldn’t call Him Annoying if She knew how He looked out for Hermunprompted, One might note. You think Andy’d listen to the Vicar?

Andy defines success on his own terms…

Not so much Andy being small as Florrie’s being big. The biggest. Big? Yes!  . . and the word is not annoyed but ‘patient’.

I was expecting Flo to say “He’s an annoying little man with a wandering eye!”/By the way, according to my Zen Master, to be truly lazy takes a lot of EFFORT!

I didn’t know that term was in use, 1966. Wow; i’ll have to locate that Book! I’m one of those Who’ll take the Kinks over the Stones 95% of the time. big on Small Faces, Move, and Jam; Carnaby St. scene reflecting Haight Asbury/Manhattan, etc. too. And trying to educate myself all the times, so thanks! Also glad that wasn’t a pejorative; not keen on intolerance. BCNU…We just GOTTA hear It now, right? Be Like David Watts

This strip made me laugh when I first read it but when I reread it a few more times… It stopped being funny.

I’m glad people like Chalkie, Stagger Lee and Sandfan post the best of the best.

About the ‘Fop’ Ray sorta became around “Soap Opera” [about the WORST possible intro to Them]. “Look at Mi!” DFoF Guy was a contra-point to the anal “Well respected Man”. Chided for a different reason, but sorta poked-fun at.how’s my score so far? ;)

no wild, nosince Today’s concern’s Andy Youth, Picture Book from Their Magnum opus, Village Green. Why they had to “come back” w/ Arthur is incomprehensible. Face2Face is my fav, tho. Lola doesn’t really figure . . .

. . . but how about the Albums? I’m totally positive; don’t have the ‘incompleteness’ like Arthur and Lola [which have Hits]. Soap/Boys wasmy High School years; Sleepwalker/Misfits/Low Budget was College years, so they were still fore-front then. and now!Well, Shel was a Who link, too. No; i’m from SoCal, but i know the “Building Blocks of Rock” are Bealtles/Kinks/Who/Stones, and that Everyone else is an “and”. The ‘mericans are sandwiched around that. Tull, Pink and Zep were more insular, if anybody’s argumentative. Yardbirds still under-appreciated, but not in that ‘set’. "Ed Sullivan Show’ was to mi what the Kennedy Murder was to People a few years older than i was [5+]

Still hearing new Kinks; got a ‘Monitormance’ going w/ utube. Heard a ‘remake’ of you really got me that sounded even more invasion-y than the prototype! I’m following Your advise started reading J around 1974]. My Rolling Stone Guide is in taters, and i can’t give it away on 7th Avenue. Reading “All Music Guide” and “1001 Bucket List Recordings,” which is really about 5,005 with all the “go to next” suggestions. The bottom is barely covered. Learning how much i don’t still know or don’t get. Can’t always separate Jeff and Jimmy, or Brian and Keith, for instance.

Thanks!. . . got ya on the ‘singles/album’ deal. FM and “AOR” was another handful of Years away. AM ruled; the Car makes Music!!! An LP was a ‘Vehicle’ for a Single or two; often had the Hit/hits printed in big letters or was even named after the hit. . And the Stones were a Cover Band for a long time. Not a single original on TAMI. That era had cool LP covers, tho. and the Jackets had more LP covers. Thick vinyl, too!Dillford/Tillbook gets the most “Footsteps of Ray” votes, it seems.By late ’76 was the ’New Wave," anyways so . . . . .rediscovering all that, with a older mind.

I don’t know if People realize the Beach Boys had released 5 Albums before the Beatles’ Ed Sullivan Performance was 6 weeks old, but That’s Rock and Roll. Pet Sounds? that came out 4 Months before Revolver, but it’s hardly Rock now, is It?
