Finally Cathy’s dad puts his foot down! With all the stuff he puts up with from his wife and daughter, he has every right to make a firm decision whenever he wants..Hello Cathy clan!Glad you had a good trip, sis! I agree where sometimes it’s really nice to check out and just relax. So sorry about your injuries! You and Lil can commiserate together as she hurt her ankle/foot on Friday and has been hobbling around ever since.Best wishes to your daughter, hendelca and congratulations on the happy event in your life! What a wonderful time! Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

I thought Cathy’s wedding was a winter wedding? Unless she lives in the south, a backyard winter wedding would not be feasible. But I am pretty sure I remember some strips with snow or at least Cathy wearing winter clothing and boots, so….no backyard wedding reception in wintertime, Mom!

I was going to suggest a local park because I forgot that they were married in the winter. So I guess finding a local church or school would be the next best thing.
Hello Cathy clan, hope you continue to heal quickly GretchensMom and Lil, my son also hurt his ankle but he’s doing a lot better now. Congrats hendelca!

I feel her pain of trying to find a place for the reception.

And this is what happens when you fool around and don’t secure a reception site as soon as you set the wedding date!
Hi, rgcviper!
lightenup: Oh ………. poor sweet little Lil!!! I’m so sorry to hear she hurt her foot/ankle too. I certainly feel her pain. Literally! Hope she’s starting to feel better now.
QuietStorm27: Sorry to hear your son hurt his ankle too. What’s going on here with all the people hurting themselves like this all of a sudden?!? Sounds like maybe we’ve been cursed! :-(
hendelca: Congrats on your daughter’s wedding! Hope she (and you) have a wonderful day on Saturday. Try not to cry too much, Dad. I’m sure she’s marrying a wonderful man who’s going to take really good care of your little girl for you!!!!! :-)
lightenup, hendelca, lindz.coop, rgcviper and QuietStorm27: Thanks so much for all the well-wishes, dear friends! My ankles are still feeling a little tender, causing me to continue limping around more than I would like but otherwise, I’m not doing too bad. I can tell I’m not healing from this as quickly as I did the last time it happened a few years ago because I’m a little older now but hopefully it won’t be too much much longer before I’m com-pletely well again. For now though, Advil and staying off them as much as I can will keep me going until then.

Somehow, I sense that Cathy’s dad isn’t a fan of his wife’s idea. Call it a hunch.
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
