I think this one panel proves once and for all that Brad does love his sister. I’m sure that Toni and TJ also had a hand in making this moment possible with the classy table settings and the decorations.

Now tomorrow we will find out what is in the box!

Mr. Creepy could have taken 7 days off from school and use his pocket money (and borrow the difference from parents/cousin/line of credit, etc…) money to fly to Luann. But this….

Just a card sent in a timelly manner would have been all Luann wants and expects ! The card would suffice.

I wonder if there is a ticket for her to go see him this summer in that box? I am happy to see Luann with a good guy. Despite what a few others say I think they are good for each other.

Well, that was well planned…Quill’s surprise was indeed a surprise for Luann. Perhaps he also sent a plane ticket for her and her parents ( or a chaperon) to visit during a school break….or it could simply be chocolates as would be customary on Valentine’s Day.

Feye, 7 days off High school and 2,000 dollars “pocket money” for Valentines day? You REALLY don’t remember being a teen, do you?

She has told him about that box, and that she thinks it has a ring in it. (Brad to Toni, however).Nevertheless, this puts pressure on her expectations, especially if it’s more Vegemite or whatever that stuff is.

Mabey its a plane ticket in the box to Ausie to go see Quill.

Tickets don’t come in a box like that..And I don’t think Luann really wants an engagement ring.She is not even a Senior in High School..She didn’t much want the ring Elwood gave her.Of course Quill is not Elwood.

There’s not a lot of girls on here, is there? When I was a teenager I would have reacted the same way Luann did for not getting a card. And this surprise get together on Valentines would’ve been the most romantic thing ever (after him actually being there).

Aha! Not Quill in person (at least, not yet), but still a well-planned romantic Valentine’s Day evening for Luann, and with that special gift box! Really nice to Skype a Valentine’s dinner when you can’t be together – I did!I had Project Runway paused in the room, too, but this was my main course. I think I’ll post the appetizer and dessert too – caviar with watercress and creamy yogurt: I forgot to pluck the orchid blooms. and the desert (he loves apricot and I prefer raspberries, and they’re good together)

Today’s strip shows that Quill may indeed be a long term item – as he is working closely with Luann’s family (and future family). A Brad/Toni wedding might be enough to warrant a Quill visit.

Remember, the company his dad works for re-locates people for long term placement around the world. Maybe they decided to send his dad back for a longer term placement and Quill is already back with his family, staying in a hotel until they find a house.

Awwww, I was so hoping he was there in person! But as it has been pointed out, there “is” a place setting behind the computer. Hmmmmmm :-)

I’m with waycyber here. We did a similar bit for my Mom’s 80th birthday. She thought she was talking long distance to my brother on her cell…until he told her to turn round and all his family was there, from thousands of miles away. Quite the grand surprise.

I like Quill very much. I like this romance, though I would like it better if he came back. I will be sad if Mickeyj gets his way.

Actually, Quill sent to box to TJ. It contains an Australian Tiger Snake.``He sent it to TJ who sold the contents and replaced it with a 99 cent snickers bar.

Tossup if Quill’s in the other room or not. TJ is for sure, because someone has to serve Luann dinner! Brad and Toni are having their own Valentine’s Day somewhere else, if they’re smart, and Shannon’s with some other babysitter (surely Jonah has other sitters besides Toni?!).

If it’s another babysitter we know Nancy & Frank are too square to have plans on V-day, & I agree TJ cooked the real question is what are Bernice and Delta up to…
