There’s a sweet story circulating that the red droid (with the bad motivator) was in fact the one and only droid jedi, and had predicted that R2-D2 needed to meet Luke, and so he committed “suicide” in order for that to happen.

Well according to the movies, the Easter Bunny is Wolverine, so you know… I think he’ll win

There’s not a lot of girls on here, is there? When I was a teenager I would have reacted the same way Luann did for not getting a card. And this surprise get together on Valentines would’ve been the most romantic thing ever (after him actually being there).

He WAS a regular until she handed him into the vet…apparently about 6 months ago. I can’t remember what happened, I think he got hit by something.

The word Etymology is derived from the Greek etymon, meaning “true sense” and the suffix -logia, denoting the “study of” – i.e. The study of the true sense of the word.

The term “spirit” in reference to alcohol stems from Middle Eastern alchemy. These alchemists were more concerned with medical elixirs than with transmuting lead into gold. The vapor given off and collected during an alchemical process (as with distillation of alcohol) was called a spirit of the original material.

    So there you go.

Just like a week has 7 days and not 8 (monday to monday) a scale can be said to have 7 notes: a h (really b) c d e f g and then back to a, which we won’t count as it is a, only an octave higher.

Nowadays disposable diapers are almost as cheap as cloth, and they are entirely biodegradable (at least the ones we get here are). And I doubt cloth diapers are more environmentally friendly if you yourself have to do two washes a day to keep up… no diaper services where I live!

During my time at school they changed how they graded people. no more curves. instead your grades were based on how much YOU knew, and how much YOU had improved over the course of the year. Everyone could get an A+ (IF you improved enough and scored well enough) and no-one was compared to anyone but themselves.

I’ve always preferred the name Dassie for the rock hyrax, but then I first encountered them in South Africa. Cute beasts!

That’s not a danish to me! A danish is a pastry-swirl filled with either custard, cream or jam!
