Well Andy thats one way to get you to forget about the rain. You rather be in rain then mum-in-law or sister-in-law. I did not know Flo had a sister. To the Veterans I thank you for your service. In our church an elder senior wore his Corporal suit with his medals awesome!
I’m late to the party today, but happy Veteran’s Day to all my fellow vets. The WWII vets, the “greatest generation”, are fewer in number every day; get their stories while you still can. My dad was bomber crew out of England, and he died before I was smart enough to talk to him about his experiences. I have conversed with a doctor who was on the Bataan death march, and a career soldier who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Their stories are priceless oral history, and they need to be preserved and passed down.
They’re finally doing the “Peanuts” treatment for “Pogo” (I just checked out the first one from the library) after years of promising to. The intention is to eventually publish every last strip in two-year installments. I wish GoComics could run them. (I also would love it if they could run “Tumbleweeds”, which was one of my five all-time favorites!)
Reg Smythe was the creator of ‘Andy Capp’, who appeared for the first time in the Daily Mirror in 1957. This chainsmoking alcoholic who often had a row with his wife Florrie became a big success in Great Britain and abroad. The gags were situated in simple settings, so the emphasis lay on the cynical jokes. Smythe later created the spin-off ‘The Children Of Andy Capp’, who looked just like their father.
Thanks to all you wonderful Gals and Guys, or should I use Damon Ruyon’s Guys and Dolls. I enjoy being with you each day. And Comrades in arms, how many of us left our hearts at the stage-door canteen?

Beautiful animation !
I am inside as it is snowing out. No outdoor work today.
Sorry to hear that! I’m sure you’ll be able to do it very soon! Meanwhile… Do you need THIS to remove all the snow?
Cute right?
I hope you’re doing good.
