Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Maybe knock-knock jokes are a little big for the bird’s brain Agnes. Cut down on the thought size a little. Like maybe with only one knock.

I can hardly wait until that bird swoops down and pecks Agnes on the head.
Thank you, Mr. Hitchcock!

It is always possible the Agnes jokes are for the birds.

She should try telling knock-knock jokes to a woodpecker.

Intelligence doesn’t require bulk. Tool using birds, birds that work as a group etc. Even some know their reflections.

Still . . . How many ants can do quantum mechanics calculations? Three at most and that’s if you include Albert Antstein amd Adam Ant.

How many ants over millions of years had successful civilizations without crime? How do humans stack up on that?

What? No one wants to know the Knock Knock jokes? They might be lame. They might be for the bird(s). But how do we critique if we have not heard (or read)?
.
Or is that we cannot hear because we are not on the same wavelength?

@Night-Gaunt49
Surely ye jest.
Ants daily fight wars with fellow ants living mere feet away.
Humans do far better, we can go months without going to war with our neighbors.
.
Is it not so?
And how successful is a civilization which enslaves aphids?
