I see sunny and cold days, but what about rainy days? Did you train it to keep your head dry?

Now that it is March, that seems like a useful skill.

Here in North West Indiana, that’ll grow and retract multiple times a day!

I suspect that Blanche’s reply is one that Susie will often make to Calvin if they get married as many fans believe. Calvin and Susie could be the Wizard and Blanche when they were children.

They shrink in the cold and expand in the heat, and we’re not wizards; but I’m not talking about beards.

If another famous wizard could perform this feat, it would be the Merlin Hair Lift.

But it works! My ex used to have a beard in the winter and shave in the summer. Kept him warm on the highway (worked for ODOT). It gets pretty cold out there!

Today is Saint David’s Day. Saint David is a Celtic Saint who is Patron Saint of Wales. Tomorrow will be Saint Chad’s Day. Saint Chad is an Anglo-Saxon Saint. There is a saying among farmers about these two days at the beginning of March:-

“Saint David and Saint Chad,

Sow seed, good or bad."

This means, of course, whether the weather is good or bad not whether the seed is good or bad.
