Well, it’s common wisdom that anyone who actually wants to be President is a meglomaniacal crazy, and is ipso facto unfit for the job. Hillary is many, MANY things, including meglomaniacal, but crazy she isn’t so very much.

As a leader, I think GHWB’s probably the best of my lifetime. The first time we went after Iraq, he got all the middle eastern countries on board and our allies to pay for it all. That was some effective diplomacy.

Personally, I think she should be on the Supreme Court. Suits her abilities and would insulate her from the viciousness she’s been subjected to.

“Disirregardless,” you have a better eye for cartoonist’s art than I do. If Hillary looked like Tole’s drawing, I admit she’d be challenged to get elected. Appearance, after all, is critical to any woman’s qualifications.

Let’s hope that media will remember its duty to the public and won’t carry her all the way through the electoral process.

A deep insult to a Republican is to report accurately what they say and do. This has been true for about 50 years, at least.

No way! If we stop conjecturing and obsessing with future events, then we might start thinking about the here-and-now and what we need to do to fix things in the present!.And that would be terrible! …for some reason.

DLee4144: Middle East before US existed? Let’s see. During the Califates, the Muslim center of Bagdad had a Jewish governor and Damascus had a Christian one; Saladin opened the holy places to all religions and to stop the wars between Christians, put the Church of the Nativity under the control of a Muslim family, which worked so well, they still have the job; Suliman, the Magnificent, sponsored major works in art and architecture; Persia (Iran before Europeans, including America, interfered) was honored for its poets; Muslim doctors were doing virtually modern medicine when Europeans were either bleeding patients (like Washington) to death or giving some foul potion of no known efficacy – Timbouto had three universities and was a center for near-routine cataract surgery before being destroyed by Moroccans. And that is just spur-of-the-moment examples. Indeed, there are even parallels between the corruption and collapse of the Ottomans with what is happening in this country (“this country” applying to where most of the readers are: US, Canada, UK, and Oz). I plead lack of information in sufficient depth for the others.

The Media runs with whatever will sell papers, magazines or increase ratings. (Again, see the 1976 movie “Network”)Civil War general William T. Sherman HATED reporters! He once remarked that if he killed them all, there would be news from Hell before breakfast!

I think for the most part she would be a passable Pres. I just don’t think she can pull it off. She will need swing conservatives and I don’t think they are there for her. She is a very polarizing personality and peoples minds about her are already made up.
