Going bankrupt? Surely that’s a sign of great things to come.

That’s the way I’m looking at it. The country is OVER but hopefully my investments will increase. The rest of you can all pound sand!

I left the asylum years ago.

I leave it to you inmates to run or ruin it as you choose.

The hopes and dreams of my generation died in Dallas, Texas.

    .

I really dread the legacy that our greed and selfishness is leaving for our grandchildren. <P..

All I, as an individual, can do is to love and cherish my family and in whatever small ways I can, be there for them and my neighbors..

If we build up our nuclear arsenal sufficiently, we can blow the hell out of China and North Korea and suffer only minimal retaliation — probably to California — and to hell with them!

I congratulate you, Ruben; you once again have hit the nail on the head. I only pray that when the Russians and the Chinese divide what is left of our country that we our in the same part.John Titor said that in his timeline the civil war began in 2007, looks like our will just be a little later.Merry Christmas…

I’ve been registered Democrat all my life but I couldn’t vote for Hillary, for all the right reasons. I don’t understand why the rest of my friends who are Democrats/liberals ignore the corruption of the Clinton Fdn (pay for play) and the private server (if hacked, gee, I wonder how?), and the fact that nationalism is better than globalism. I used to love editorial cartoons but the apocalyptic nonsense I’m seeing has me baffled. Hillary said she would bomb Iran and was jones-ing for a war with Russia. Why demonize Russia all of a sudden? Answer: Neocon globalists want to rule the world. Libya was the most prosperous country in Africa — education and health care for all (liberal ideas!) and we took it down, because they wanted to create an African currency based on gold – not on the globalist petrodollar. Where are the liberals, by the way, on Muslims persecuting gays (off the roof with you!) and their treatment of women? Islamophobia? Hmm.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” has one of the most depressing messages of any movie ever. Remember that George Bailey dreamed of becoming a pilot and traveling the world, but ended up having to stay in Bedford Falls to take care of everybody else. The ultimate message of the movie is “stay in your place, forget about your dreams—they are for other people to live.” How uplifting!

    .

In second place, of course, is “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” whose message is, “all heroism is pointless.” Remember that the Nazis ultimately got the Ark despite all of Indy’s heroics. For all the good he did, he might as well have stayed in that bar in Tibet making up with his old girlfriend.
