A tribute, perhaps. But that’s original McCay art – shows up in my book of Little Nemo Sunday strips.

I like it, but why is Little Nemo here? Can I find more little Nemo on Go Comics?

Winsor McKay made an animated cartoon about Nemo, but it’s pretty surreal — no actual plot. Here’s a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seOGEwx0NfQ

He did make some narrative cartoons, including one about Mosquitos and a couple of movies with Gertie the Dinosaur.

I’d appreciate if this was properly attributed to Windsor McCay, but the comic itself is lovely.

BTW = his name was “Winsor”. No “D”.

I mentioned my book of Little Nemo Sundays – every one from 1905 through 1914. Best gift ever!

Holy Schlmoly! How did they print this in 1909 in a newspaper? It looks like water color. Very intricate.
