What a pleasure for Brutus today: book spoiled and to make fun of the old lady.

The sequel is going to be a whodunit – Murder In The Living-room.

Well, I gotta admit, I’m pretty surprised. Lady Not Appearing in This Book did it all the time!

Brutus got me!

I wonder if they’ll make a movie about it.

Brutus is getting down to her level.

For once, the butler didn’t do it.

I never did trust Fran Drescher. ;-)

A rare victory for Brutus.

I’m a bit confused. We know that in comic strip conversation balloons that the balloon is pointing to the character who is speaking. So in panel two, is it the cup of coffee that just said it is reading “Murder in the Cloak Room”?

A nice plot twist, but anthropomorphic talking coffee is not my cup of tea.

The old battle axe here on Sunday. Poor Brutus! I guess she’s there to ruin his whole day. Indigestion with every meal.

The nanny did it. The ninny read it.

Brutus, you have left Mother Gargle nonplussed. Good for you!

he’s so mean… but it was worth seeing her reaction. Now the question is, was he telling the truth or pulling her leg. :J

Score one for Brutus – finally! Now Gargoyle will be distracted for the rest of the book wondering if a nanny will show up. And thanks for the twist Chip. As soon as I saw Mama I was steeling myself for another drubbing of our hero. The pleading look on her face in the 4th frame is a new one too!

a real page-turner…

Way to go big guy. That’s what called a spoiled alert. You now ruined it on two levels. Yet, she will still have to read the book in order to find out what really happened……

Brutus you devil .

That’s cheating. How are you supposed to figure out whodunit when you throw in a character at the end.

Well Brutus you got her now, she will be hanging on every page looking for that elusive Nanny.

I remember an episode of MASH where the whole camp got caught up with a mystery novel that BJ got through the mail only to discover that the last few pages of the novel was missing so they didn’t know who the murderer was.

The reviews in the beginning of the book or on the back cover can also be spoilers, so be careful. That happened to me with the book “The Testaments” by Margaret Atwood.

Brutus may be The Born Loser, but he’s the winner this time. So much the better that the win was against Mother G!
