    Andy Rooney (RIP) said this was the saddest day of the year since it meant six months of days getting shorter.

    As the song says, Christmas is “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” And one of the reasons it’s so wonderful (in the Northern Temperate Zone) is that the days and nights are finally the right length.
