Well now they have one of the lowest rates of infection in the country and one of the highest vaccination rates. SF and the surrounding communities are almost 50% fully vaccinated and are close to reaching the tipping point where more people are vaccinated than not. Some of these places like Florida may very well experience another spike if they don’t use any precautions. It seems like every place in the world that tried to reopen too soon had to close down again. Once the country is over 50% vaccinated it will reduce the chances of infection greatly and allow places to open up without placing people in jeopardy.
The present Florida Governor is Ron De Santis, who was “appointed” by Mr. Trump for the office. Mr. DeSantis wants to run for US VP / President in ‘24 &/or ‘28. Governor DeSantis is toeing the Trump line on Covid.
