And I thought things were bad here. Tens of millions on “school safety.” As for teacher raises, forget it. Red state.

Let’s teach kids that guns are a necessary fixture of American life. We are a violent society unable to change our culture or take any reasonable steps to address what has become a persistent and deadly problem. And we might as well make it illegal to discuss how other countries don’t have this problem because that’s what we do.

This way a shooter won’t have to go to the trouble of getting his own gun, or sneaking it into school, he can just walk in and pick one up.

If an armed public makes a polite and safe public, you’d think we’d have no gun deaths at all.

I pity the poor Black male teacher who is holding a gun when the police storm into the classroom.

Or will the school board avoid this by refusing to hire Black male teachers? Mind you, this is North Carolina, so that is entirely possible.

After the massacre in Uvalde, Last Week Tonight highlighted how increased police presence has made things worse.
