I’v been reading about the kid for a few weeks now, and I haven’t noticed his talent, good looks, and charisma. I guess I need to see the video. What’s the URL for this Marine Corps national anthem site?
Whoo hoo! I’m #1! I’m #1! I finished Friday’s MUT, posted it, commented on it under Friday’s Gil Thorp, and lo and behold, Saturday’s Gil Thorp was up. So, I quickly banged out Saturday’s MUT too.
So what’s the deal with P2? Is that the most bizarre arm positioning you’ve ever seen someone do? Not counting previous poses in this strip of course. Looks like he’s pinching his own cheek while someone else is lunging at his throat with their fingers. And speaking of fingers, use your fingers to tap some keys and bring up both today’s and yesterday’s Mopped Up Thorp.
Uncle Gary is reminding me of David Balfour’s uncle in “Kidnapped.”
P1, How did Rick(ey) get Steve Boone’s one-armed backpack anyway? And where did Marty, er Uncle Tonoose get that huge coffee cup?
P2, It looks like Uncle Tonoose’s hands are attacking him. Thank you, Thing!
P3, Alright Uncle Tonoose, now you’re just getting way too creepy, even for this strip.
Uncle Gary sounds more like Uncle Ernie in P3.
In all reality , Thank to all the Veterans who served our country .
Huge milk cartons, large coffee cups (P1), Hairy Hercules arms (P2) and a cheesy eyewear pose (P3). The way Gary Unmarried sits with heel supporting a buttock, methinks he wistfully yearns for a steamy shower with some young friends.
“Recognize Talent” and it could mean 10-20% if Uncle Gary becomes his manager.
Uncle Gary has a certain miasma about him.
I’m just not getting the conflict that the comic seems to be trying to build. We got a talented kid, more interested in football than music, and a proud uncle. Is there something I’m missing?
It might have been better if there had been an Aunt Mary who left a good job in the city, working for the man every night and day and never lost a minute of sleep worrying about the way things might have been, after all, big wheels keep on turning, ooh the proud Mary keeps on turning and she keeps rolling, rolling down the river, keeping up with current events.
