Doesn’t change your life at all — if the right circumstances don’t arise.

At that age, my birthdays made a BIG difference. Not only was my mom good at “presenting” but also being able to say “I’m 8 years old” after a whole year (14% of my whole life, right?) being only 7

Birthdays are like rabbits. It’s fun when they start accumulating, but then it becomes Whoa! Hold on!

Her birthday could have come with some nice presents!

Some of those could change her life, Did with me when I was eight!

I’m more likely to celebrate the equinox than my birthday, but my next birthday is going to be the 60th and I dont even want to acknowledge that one

I had this discussion with some friends on Sunday. 2 friends and I wished another friend a Happy Birthday and the other two who always make a big deal about their birthdays asked the birthday boy what he was going to do and he said “nothing”. So we discussed how little the anniversary of your birth really impacts your life.

There is 16 when you can drive, 18 when you can vote, 21 when you can drink, 25 when you can rent a car and 67 when you can retire but the rest do not really change much of anything and except for 21, even those just position where you can do something new but you are very unlikely to do it on that day.

And I do not know about you, but I had been drinking for years before it was legal so that really was no big deal either though I did go out with people to drink on the day it became legal.

    Mixed bag.

Why would the world’s greatest guesser imagine that that kid cares a whit about the equinox? Especially as the kid referred only to a “thing,” and not a day on the calendar?

Answer: to set up a joke. Bad writing.

BUT, we are also shown a kid doing something absent-minded, and, you know, like a kid. And then talking about it, like an actual little kid. And not like a post doc at the University of Chicago.

    On balance, pretty good!

Wearing your underwear rightside out one day and inside out the next has advantages. You only wash half as often and you find out who your real friends are.

I always used to celebrate my birthday by calling my Mommy and telling her “Happy Birth Day!” =^_________^=

After all, she remembered it better than I did.

    I miss my Mommy. :’-(

Kid, you should just be grateful no one else noticed your under pants.
