Jason must’ve gotten quite a lot of shoe boxes from classmates and neighborhood kids to make his Loot Boxes™.

His last statement reminds me of when there were no drivers for a given computer’s peripheral device. Some years ago when XP was the standard, I’d try to fix someone’s computer’s new peripheral, and then find the instructions said “drivers included with your XP system disk” or something similar. And after the inevitable unsuccessful search for such drivers on both disk and the website for the manufacturer, I’d end up having to tell the person they’d have to send the item back. Most outfits got smart later on and put the drivers on their websites regardless of which operating system the units could use, but there were some that were lazy and provided no drivers at all and none were on the system disk. And so back they went. ARRRGH!

OK, for the loot box to work, you must buy the empty box and put your own loot in it.

Most people can make all the ones and zeroes they want. Putting them in the right order is what is valuable.
