I’m with Elly. I would rather be in a warm and relaxing bath then sit by the fire with a hot cup of cocoa. Heavenly. If I were still in my early twenties, I’d choose skiing but now? Nah. I will stay in the room, thank you.

Skiing with your kids is a lot of fun. I agree with Michael and Elizabeth. Elly is missing out.

I think Ellie DOES know what she’s missing out on and needs some quiet time to recharge.

To each their own, I suppose.

I don’t think Elly is a winner in either case, in both, she loses something.

Ski helmets ? ¿Really ? Talk about updating a strip to be politically correct !!

The only skiing I want to do any more is in the lodge, from the fireplace to the bar !

My days of hurtling down the slopes and leaping mogols with reckless abandon are long over and done with. My hurtling & leaping are things of the past !

I don’t do snow. That’s why I live in Phoenix. Had enough of that stuff growing up.

    Lynn’s Notes:

I don’t ski because I know what I’m missing. It involves crutches.

When we were at Mammoth Mountain, my husband slipped on the concrete stairs and knocked himself out. Paramedics were there and took care of him. No real harm, but after a couple of weeks, he got a get-well post card from the resort.

The thing is, baths and tabloids will always be there. Spending time with your family is not always available. Time not spent with your loved ones is lost forever.

I’m with Mike and Liz, I’d rather spend the day carving tracks in Black Diamond trails than spend the day in a warm office telling unsavvy tech users how to fix their iPhones.

I went skiing once. So much physical work I wasn’t prepared for it.

When I was young, I ice-skated, made snow forts, snow angels and loved snowball fights. Not anymore! A friend of mine went skiing for the first time and broke her leg in 3 places. I decided against skiing right then and there.
