A curiousity to ponder.. WHY In God’s Name would Polar keep a file like that to begin with?!?!?
Either he is the stupidest criminal in the world or nobody ever looked at the files.. im going wiht the second since Devil mentioned to Polar that Laffy-Pants reorganized their files and judging by all the dust on the files it looks like nobody has checked them in a while.
Still, Polar should have thought ahead and realized that he has a file that says Petey Boy is in charge of the money and not him

To the guy who “doesn’t know what’s going on here” , don’t feel like the Lone Ranger, neither do the artists. Let’s throw some stuff on the wall and see what sticks I think it’s called.
These 3 panels really push the plot (such as it is) along rapidly. The key document is found; Austin’s quick perusal shows that it overrides whatever Volkov’s scheme is (Panel 2); and then the sirens signal the impending arrival of the New Broom squad to clean up the story (IMO Austin was unaware of the operation; I think he has no Wrist Wizard and was not informed otherwise, either). All that remains is for Piotr Volkov (sometimes rendered “Vorkov”) to come to his fated Bad End and for Devila to be either arrested (likely), slain (unlikely), or revealed as collaborating with cops (also unlikely, though not impossible)….

I thought that Lafayette is working on behalf of the MCU. It seems like he is freelancing and is not a part nor is he aware of New Broom
