Ah yes, good ole Geek’s Neek. How could I forget a place with a name like that?

I hope it doesn’t get wiped out by hurricane Alice.

My family used to vacation at Sandbridge Beach, a little south of Virginia Beach. All the houses were built on stilts like that. I guess when you live next door to the ocean you have it expect it to come visiting now and then.

We’re going to the ocean this summer. I think it’s Geek’s Neck. Now I’m excited!

I love the colors.

All is well until you read the “rules” and #1 is : “Don’t flush at High Tide”.

Geek’s Neck only sounds a little better than Dumpwater, Fla.

I thought Alice only remembered the lamp?

I love their little beach cottage. The question is, will it survive a visit from the Otterloops?

Check out pictures of the cottages at Nags Head or Cape Hatteras, NC (or Sandbridge as neatslob suggested). If you don’t want the ocean in your house during a storm, you build on stilts. Some houses still was away in hurricanes though.

Looks actually comfy.

It’s the holiday home with character and privacy – I like it… so far…

A Neck is an Isthmus, a narrow strip of land connecting two larger land masses, generally with water on both sides.

And then there’s Throgs Neck, Great Neck, Little Neck, Cove Neck, and Eatons Neck, to name a few in and around Long Island.

I’m bored. Can we leave now?
