Is it just me or did that scrawny kid just grow into a running back for this years football team between panels 1 and 2?

Yes, I can see Noah growing and “filling out” under the careful tutelage of Coach Thor p. Inquiring minds want to know if Molly Kinsella is caddying at MCC this summer.

Supplier seems to be on to something here. I think it’ time to start testing the boys at the caddy shack for HGH.

It’s not HGH. n panel 2 Gil merely touches Noah and, like a miracle, Noah morphs into a football player.

@ Lureman; I can’t place a Steve Boone either. I’ll be 68 this month and have been reading the strip since its inception. I’ll bet nobody remembers the shortstop, Zip Gust.

Zipperg – I’m turning 65 next week and I can remember zip, so not Zip.

As for Steve Boone. Yep, it was quite a story line. Ya see, Steve is the oldest son of Pat, and Steve coulda been in Pat’s entourage, but he decided to play football for Gil. Except he wasn’t good enough to make first string, so he ended up in Marty Moon’s entourage instead. Now that he’s grown older, he has to hide in his small closet because Marty is still looking for the only member of his fan club. In time, Marty will drink himself into forgetfulness, and Steve will be able to come out of the closet… errr….

Yes jamesmcl0828, and St. Gil shall perform a similar laying on of the hands for Steve and cure his scrofula, and gout, and plague, and verily, his PTSD.

Gil doesn’t remember Steve Boone either. You coach every damn sport in school, the kids all become a blur.

Steve Boone will wind up to be one of those backgorund “whatever happened to…” guys. He was never a star, nor did he win any championships, but Gil takes care of EVERYONE who played for him. He will, of course, work the backstory out of Noah as they “catch up.”

Steve Boone is the bass player for the Lovin’ Spoonful. Somehow, Gil will take credit for his success." Hot town, summer in the city" of Milford

“Hot Town, Summer in the City” is Milford. Steve Boone is/was the bassist for the Lovin’ Spoonful. Gil deserves all the credit for his success.

Been reading this strip my whole life and have never heard of Steve Boone. Interesting. Is there any chance he has the Thorp kids? By the way…where is Molly?

I wonder if Gil chased the kids off the field by shaking his fist at them and yelling – "YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!!‘. For the record, I’m 52 years of age.

Can anyone tell me why my comments disappear and reappear? I made a comment before that Steve Boone was a lineman from the ‘04 season. He was a bit player, tutored by Yale bound Von Haney. By the way, I’m 50 in less than 2 months, following the strip since 1980.
