It’s not ‘my’ Constitution, in that I’m not an American citizen. I do however teach in this field and the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, along with the Magna Carta and other similar legal frameworks are some of the most wondrous legal creations. They represent the very best of what we all hope we can be. Unfortunately, humanity gets in the way! :)

Yesterday you said “If we don’t fight them there, we will have to fight here.” Excuse me, but that is word for word EXACTLY THE SAME B***S*** we were fed during the Vietnam War. 55,000+ Americans died defending a corrupt 3rd world dictatorship because we had to keep the Commies from attacking Santa Monica. The end result: we wasted billions, lost thousands of lives, got our butts kicked out of their country… and now Vietnam makes our Levis.
Why is it that defending our freedom always involves invading their country? Oh yeah, because "“When fighting a war, you always want to be the visiting team.” That worked out great in Vietnam, didn’t it? Working out great in Iraq and Afghanistan so far too, right? Your military advice makes about as much sense as your political opinions.
