Sheldon Adelson: You and I know this country is all about money! I think I'll buy it? Voice: Buy the country, sir? How could you do that?! Adelson: How? I start a SuperPAC, throw mony at a presidential candidate... I buy the entire electoral system, is how! I got the money to buy the president I want1 Then I turn the whole place into a casino and call it the United States of Adelson! Voice: But, sir, the Supreme Court would never allow such a thing!! Adelson: Tell me you're joking.

Gentlemen if you think this is all about the GOP, or all about the Democrats, you are mistaken. The radical rich have purchased the country — all three branches of government, and both political parties. It’s time to do something before the middle class loses any voice in our government.

So, after giving all that money and getting nowhere for his effort, I guess you disproved your own theory, eh? Or Soros is much better at it since he did get Obama elected.

The makeup of the Supreme Court is one of the reasons I would never vote for a Republican for president. Some of the decisions they have made are simply unbelievable to me. What we call a democracy is now a plutocracy.

Just because Krugman’s been right about nearly everything – then of course he can’t be acceptable to conservatives and their make-believe world.

No the Supreme Court would rather that they just be allowed to choose the next Prez — like in 2000. Why even bother letting the riff-raff think their vote counts.

One last thing:
It turns out that Donald Trump IS a rogue time traveler, after all I was deceived by his bizarre hair disguise (so lame) and from the, um …intellectual damage he apparently suffered in temporal transport. Most time travelers are much smarter./
What put me on to it was the George Will incident. In checking service records, I see that George is a temporal scholar (it’s obvious in his obsession with archaic past events). As a purist, he resented Trump’s blatant interference in the time stream and let slip his actual future name, “Bloviating Ignoramus.” /
Those names sound cool in the future (Bloviating is a trendy first-name for men, and Ignoramus is as common as “Smith.”), but not so much in your era. /
Also, George took on a Republican persona, and Republicans were badly discredited when global warming killed all earth vegetation but poison ivy and kudzu.
This comment, too, will soon disappear from your memory …

this isn’t about Dems or cons, this is about the 1% buying our country! Both sides get money from the rich. That is why we need to team up and petition for and overturn of the so-called Citzen’s United! I don’t think any citizens united for this just a few filthy rich citizens. It isn’t a partisan game!I hope you all from both parties will petition to have this overturned. There already 8 states who have signed on to get this horrible law repealed! this buying of politicians is wrong.

An urgent update on the “Donald Trump” case –
It’s more serious than we realized. Turns out that Bloviating Ignoramus (alias Donald Trump) has been parasitized by an ancient and dangerous sentience. This creature lurks in timeways to attack travelers. What you see as Trump’s hair is a small extrusion into 3-dimensional space, the visible part of a vast hive-like entity that broods in higher dimensions.
Sad to say, B.I. is no more than a simulacrum . B.I. was actually quite a decent fellow, and now look at him. In retrospect, it seems so obvious.
The highest alert is in effect. Somehow we must battle this creature without notice being taken by contemporary observers. It won’t be easy.
Metaphorically speaking, we’ll use martial arts and there will be damaging hits against the temporal architecture. You might notice slight fluctuations in reality as splinters pierce backwards and forwards. Have you noticed climate changes, civil wars, financial crashes,or increased crime activity in society’s behavioral sinks? Those are typical signs.
Time repair is tricky, as I’ve said. We may yet put things to right and might even save dear Bloviating Ignoramus. We rejoice in this elegant hope.

Good one.
It’s fun to write “entertainments” once in a while.Although, every time I step over a bug and refrain from squashing it, I can’t help but wonder if Something out there is extending humanity the same consideration.
