A little scraped up, but at least the shrub is okay. As for Alix…

The shrub will live, though it’s a bit damaged. Alix is undamaged, but her continued survival may be in question when Mom gets back her calm and the remains of her coffee cup.

Now that the shrub and Alex are OK, Alex could be in trouble!

She was lucky to not have landed face down…and been polked in the eyes.

I’m surprised Holly hasn’t made it downstairs yet. Guess it’s a good idea to plant shrubs beneath windows in case someone falls from the second storey .

Yeah, that why I planted Cactus below all my windows! I told my kids: “you fall, you hurt. So, don’t! Get it!”.

Now that you’re okay, the beatings can begin.

Our Daughter #2 was driving back from Dallas to Denton after a post-exam spree at a cat shop (an actual cat shop that sold pet supplies), when she drove by a lane that had a truck tire up ahead, lying in the road. A pickup truck ran into the tire, and the truck landed on the hood of my daughter’s (our) Chevvy Impala. The Chevvy crashed into a guard rail and no one was injured (except that my daughter’s neck was a little iffy for awhile) . I LOVED that car, but loved our daughter much more. Don’t think we ever blamed her for not exercising more caution around the tire, the gratitude for her safety was so strong.

Eliot’s workin’ off the recent stories of kids falling outta windows, because they still don’t have the common sense to not LEAN so bloody far outta them.

Once I was standing on 4’ ladder washing outside of the windows with my Dad washing the inside. One foot of the ladder sunk in the soft ground, it went over and I landed in a camellia bush. My Dad leaned out the window shouting “are you OK?” Then to my Mom: “She fell in the bush.” My Mom ran to the window, leaned out and asked: “Did you hurt the bush?”

It’s Oregon! You don’t need screens. No bugs.
