I’ve read his statements. Lugar is a decent guy and although he’s quite old, Indiana should certainly have striven for better. Mourdock seems more like a Morlock.

    Tell me Ima…

Would you call a Repub a RINO if he….

Signed a bill legalizing abortion in his state?

Raised taxes more than ten times?

Agreed to sell missile parts to Iran?

And signed off on an amnesty program for illegal immigrants?

    Just wondering

Mourdock will join Ken Buck, Sharon Engle, and Christine O’Donnell in the “why did we think America wanted incompetent senators?” wastebasket. Lugar did excellent work, collaborating with Obama to bring home nuclear material from South America, Mexico, and eastern Europe. Mourdock is more likely to say “Obama wants to keep nuclear material from terrorists? Let’s cut all the funding from that program! Hah! See how you like that, socialist!”

Too bad your insults go pretty much one way. That kind of undermines your attempt to look “reasonable.”You do realize Lugar is firmly conservative, right? He scores firmly in the 70s% on Conservative.org.Oh, by the way, I AM a psychologist. Your post is arguably the best example of projection.

Mr Lugar is moderate, fair-minder and was well-informed with law. Therefore unsuitable to the tea party who want only the .most extreme radicals.

The republican party has changed so much since Reagan it’s not recognizable as the party it once was, and that’s a real shame. It used to be the party of careful finance, now it’s the party of “NO” and mainly concerned with keeping the rich richer, killing off the middle class, and making sure that the lazy old people, sick, blind, unemployed, immigrants and children suffer like they “deserve” to do.killing the poor who can’t afford health insurance and as of today, taking much needed food from the poor and their children. Possibly making epidemics come back by eliminating vaccines.Plus it’s almost only emphasis on culture and society regimentation.
