The trouble with people nowadays is that they use expressions like “the trouble with people nowadays.”Or at least, the word “nowadays”.And I would not be so hard on those streetgirls, I really don’t think that euthanising them is the answer.

" I’m starting to think that legalised euthanasia isn’t so bad." I agree, but not necessarily for the same people.

OK, I won’t be oblique. Euthanasia is supposed to be a voluntary option for the pre-deceased themselves. You are suggesting killing of those whom you don’t agree with. Unless they are immediately threatening your existence, that is called murder. Please don’t be so distasteful and poisonously prejudiced, then there might be hope for your generation.

And so Forgetta and Rose continue to press people’s buttons. Including mine a while back. Fun though, isn’t it?

Firstly, I grew up in India, where this sort of thing runs rampant. In India, so many youngsters are still involuntarily tied to their mother’s apron strings and nurture such thoughts of anger and resentment against their parents, and believe me, in India, that’s not territory you want to breach.Secondly, the whole point of my comment about euthanasia is called anger. Google ‘John Osborne – Look Back In Anger’ and you’ll see the sort of things we angry young men have to say…and the fact that they’re disturbingly incoherent most of the time.Thirdly, disjunctions between generations can be emotionally scarring. I know. I’ve seen these things happen to my dad.My grandmother was just like that old lady and she’s still alive, but her psychotic upbringing scarred my dad for life.At least my dad has the chance to take revenge by being the only person she can count on after her two older children forsook her… and she has to rue the day she ruined his life by being entirely at his mercy. In conclusion, abuelas with that sort of mentality are a danger to all they have raised and should be appropriately dealt with. Trust me, with women like that, euthanasia is a favour. Because I know from seeing the look in my grandmother’s eyes that all she’s done has finally taken away the only person who was ever nice to her…my grandfather. And ever since my grandfather’s death five years ago, my grandmother’s sins have come back to haunt her.

I won’t go anywhere near Ishikawa Goemon’s comments!!But there is a very real issue growing here in the United States and I would think in other countries with an increasingly elderly demographic.I pay taxes. However, it’s becoming increasing clear that those taxes will NOT ‘be there’ for me when I retire.Instead, they are being spent – today – on existing retired seniors, who are taking 3 times the money ‘out of the system’ as they ‘put into the system’. Not their fault per se, medical costs keep going up and up and up. (“COLA”).But in addition, even then, current taxes are not enough to fully cover the costs of existing retired seniors, so we have to borrow even more, and pass the debt (with interest) on to the generations after me.I am finding myself more and more agitated by this situation . . . .

“This is only a comic strip” “It’s a comic strip only pictures” “It’s just a comic strip!!!”lol, lol. Everyday someone posts something like this in the comments section of every strip! We KNOW it’s a comic strip. If you want light entertainment, with no challenging thinking, then read the comic . . . but DON’T READ THE COMMENTS.

What on earth is in the water today? I don’t believe the script of Lila today was meant to induce so much mutual hostility. I think it was played for laughs actually. Time out, everybody!
