Better no award than to reward mediocrity.

Nice try, but with ebooks you can carry a huge library everywhere you go. Better than when I was a kid, having adults take books away from me and be handed a comic book and being told that the comic book was more my reading level. How the heck do adults who are not me know what my reading level is?

Unfortunately, you have no ability to differentiate nonfiction from fiction, if you follow the GOP party line, so your nomination is hardly credible…

This has nothing to do with politics, but as usual………….. It is sad to see written material becoming obsolete. Newspapers as well as books.

I love the physical feel of a book, but hey, times change, technologies change, it will all work out one way or another. Time was when there was no writing, and oral story telling ruled. Then there was carving in stone or writing in hand on papyrus or something of the sort. A few copies, and very expensive. Then printing, and now computing. We can’t let ourselves be frightened of new technologies, we just have to figure out the best way to use them. But I have to admit I haven’t bought an e-reader as yet — I still carry books around.
