Of course the fact that Rosen meant to say “not worked a day in her life FOR PAY” is irrelevant. In other words Ann Romney doesn’t have to make breakfast for the family, drop the kids off at daycare, go work a day to feed the family, pick up the kids, take kids to practice etc., repeat the next day. The Fox News gang, especially Hannity, will be repeating the original version daily for the next nine months. Correcting herself and apologizing is not enough. Only Rush can apologize and its okay.
oh golly, she got the shirt for free and is embarrassed to have to wear it, the alternative would be to be naked! Her face says total disagreement with her shirt.
I love the typical juvenile response from this worthless administration saying that it could be any Hillary Rose not the one on our payroll and who has been to the White House over a hundred times. It was also funny listening to all the Democratic pundits taking their marching orders and defending her comments.
My guess is that Ann Romney has had a housekeeper, a nanny, and probably a cook for most of her life. Nothing against stay at home moms but most of them don’t have husbands who are millionaires hundreds of times over.
@john – the Romneys had no cook, no nanny while were raising their family. She had a housekeeper once a week. She has a pretty good idea of the amount of work involved in raising a large family.
Here’s Ann Romney being a stay-at-home mom: “Consuela, change the channel to As The World Turns then go change Joshua’s diaper. Oh, and tell Marina to bring me a sandwich.”
You mean they don’t have multiple sclerosis?Or they only have 2 children instead of 5?
Why don’t you just admit it was a stupid thing to say? Obama admitted that, Axelrod admitted that. I can’t understand the reluctance to admit it when you are wrong.
Who’s really offended except right-wing commentators? Women who have paid jobs AND have to raise a family? Not likely since they agree with Rosen. They’re the largest block of adult women. Stay at home wives? Most take one look at Romney’s resources and think, “If I had that kind of money to throw at problems I wouldn’t be working either.” If the Republicans had been smart they would have just sat back and let a politically obtuse comment sit there. By making an issue out of it, it gets turned around into a debate on Romney’s wealth and his disconnect with working Americans.
