Actually, I wish I lived somewhere that had decent transportation so I did not have to drive. I looked at taking the bus to work once. I could exchange a 20 minute drive for a five bus, two hour trip using city buses. Sadly, I kept driving. The Europeans have it right and we Americans, generally, have it wrong on the transportation issue.
Why are " yous guys" so scared of Fox News? They give the news with their slant. As do CBS, NBC, ABC,PBS, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, . And 95% qf the proressive outlets. So lets attack Fox. They won’t fall in line.
WW II, and “government spending” gave us many technological advances, despite the horror that led to “need”. The race to the moon gave us most of our technology boost that led to Kevlar, cell phones, computers, weather forecasting and that military development that was privatized (yes through legislation Al Gore wrote) called “the internet”, all paid for with “government funding”.
To believe that “private enterprise” not supported by government investment would have given us this rapid advancement, is simply absurd. “Private enterprise” IS by and large very conservative, meaning relying on what made us money in the past, is good enough. Even the scams and schemes that gave us the “financial crisis” were only government “investments” manipulated by crooks in the “private sector”, to THEIR advantage, not ours.
Dr Who: “LOL at Europe’s uber high price of gasoline, but you can live with it because you don’t deserve to drive…Socialism isn’t working relative to capitalism.” You’re not “working” relative anything (Period).

Always going on about how the USA has petrol prices that are amongst the world’s cheapest. When are you going to fix that?

Scott, if you can find a source for that absurd lie, I’d like to see it. Fox News, maybe?

Governments can not create prosperity, but they can sure wreck it.
Apx late 60s gas was 32c gallon Gold $32 / oz.One ounce gold could buy 100 gal of gas.
How many gallons of gas would one oz of gold buy today? It’s not that gas is expensive -it’s just that money is cheap!
