Alice: A tweety pop! Petey: A vanilla funsy cup. Dad: Be right back. Alice: RUN! Dad: Gasp! Here you go. Alice: YUM! Petey: Yay! I collect those little wooden spoons! Alice: GAH! One of Tweety's eyes fell off! Petey: Wait, this funsy cup has TWO flavors! Alice: BWWAAAH! Petey: The chocolate and the vanilla are touching. Eldo, go up to the little calendar above the last panel of this strip and read the past few weeks’ comments. Lincoln Peirce is taking over most of the art duties now for Richard Thompson, since Richard’s Parkinson’s is preventing him from doing the art work in a timely manner. Richard is cooking up the ideas and dialogue, however, as I understand it.

Yes, Richard is back for the daily strips, but the Sunday strips are still guest artists for a couple more weeks. Lincoln Peirce has done a fantastic job – he just nailed both the drawings and the characters. Awesome work!

I have fond memories of the original “Good Humor” trucks, which just had the bells that would ring to announce the arrival of icey, sugary goodness. But, as @kendonna said, now they have the speakers endlessly looping that treakly elevator music — yuck!
