Val: EEEUU
Joan: Uh oh. Luci needs a change.
Val: GAK
Joan: Don't open the window!!
Val: Why not? It stinks in -
Val: Next time we're taking my car!!
Joan: Oh, look. A library book.
I was learning the bus system of Vancouver, WA with one of the officials. After they picked me up in the company car, there was a very funky smell where we both kind of gagged. (Three words, Joan: clean… your… car!!!)
Definitely northwest. We’re having maintenance done on the Subaru I mentioned a couple strips ago. Brakes, wipers, tires, transmission fluid, oil-getting the garbage out is an afterthought compared to keeping it from breaking down in record rainfall.
For those who haven’t followed the Stone family from the beginning. Joan and Val are working mothers. The cars carry children to and from places; it’s almost like a second living room at times. Val’s car isn’t any better… I remember when Wally asked for a ride to work one morning and Val had to “find” the front seat. (Bonus, she did find the blender…) So unless your car is spotless AND you have 2-3 children (not over the ages of 13) … kindly don’t judge the virtual world of the cartoon!

I don’t get it. Was the wind waiting to pounce? Does it rob libraries and donate the book (a child-care manual I hope) to deserving recipients?

If you roll the windows down don’t complain later when you can’t find your receipts. Not to mention paper money.

We have had a week of Joan’s messy car. Unless this is leading up to a special climax, what is happening with Evie?

Val I agree time to get that car cleaned up.

This thread may be a reminder that Joan is a flake. It hasn’t come up much since she married Wally, but used to be a fairly common theme.

I wonder if the book is over due?

Joan probably has a bad case of ADD or worse. A car I know about can just about outdo Joan’s.,
